Anemone/Windflower
Anemone Sylvestris

Description: Grown for its white, single to semi-double flowers with twisted, white to green tepals in the centers. A fall garden favorite that tolerates some shade. Blooms from late summer to fall when many other plants are not. This popular, long-lived perennial with a woody base reaches 2-3 feet tall. Grows well in high elevations-Plants in areas with harsh winters will benefit from a fall mulching. Staking may also be necessary, especially to keep plants upright after a rain. Divide in fall or early spring. Slow to establish, but then spreads rapidly. The lush foliage and pretty spring blooms makes an ideal cover for the dying foliage of spring bulbs. Pure whit flowers up to 1 1/2" across that bloom in Spring. Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Maximum Elevation: 9,000ft Hardy to -25
