Bakeri Blue Spruce

Picea pungens  glauca 'Bakeri'

(Picea Pungens 'Bakeri') is a very Blue Spruce, Its needles are larger than most and have a very blue color and a feathery appearance, not quite as silvery grey as other blue spruce...but really blue. It is an extremely slow growing, cone- shaped tree that grows only 2 to 3 inches per year.  Its blue color makes it a very attractive addition to any landscape. It is primarily a specimen plant used to add color to the landscape.  This is an excellent plant for adding structure, color and texture to your yard or garden.  Care and hardiness are similar to Colorado Blue Spruce as this little tree is widely adaptable but prefers well drained soils. This blue spruce can eventually get to a height of 35 ft,  and spread 15ft (but not likely in your lifetime unless purchased that way.) Plant in full sun. Zones 3-7 Mature Height: 35-40' Mature Spread: 15-20' Hardy To: 8,000' Exposure: Sun to Filtered Shade Water Requirement: Medium Flower Color/Season: N/Ais Dwarf Blue Spruce, is a compact, miniature Blue Spruce with very silvery blue needles. Very slow growing Baby Blue Eyes is a small, cone- shaped tree that grows very slowly (2 to 3 inches per year) Its blue color makes it a very attractive addition to any landscape. It is primarily a specimen plant used to add color to the landscape without taking up space.  This is an excellent plant for adding structure, color and texture to your yard or garden.  Care and hardiness are similar to Colorado Blue Spruce as this little tree is widely adaptable but prefers well drained soils. This dwarf form of blue spruce is very blue, pyramidal, and can eventually get to a height of 12 ft,  and spread 6-7ft (but not likely in your lifetime unless purchased that way.) Plant in full sun. Zones 3-7
