Coppertina Ninebark
Physocarpus opulifolius 'Mindia'
Coppertina Physocarpus is a result of a cross between golden-leaved Physocarpus 'Darts Gold' and purple-leaved Physocarpus 'Diabolo' (Monlo) - two of the best landscape Ninebarks. The result is a saucy copper foliaged specimen shrub redder than Diablo that sports pink-white flowers in summer and glorious rich red fall foliage. .
As with all native Ninebarks, Coppertina exhibits beautiful exfoliating bark  making for four season garden interest. Like other Ninebarks, it is very hardy & tolerant to a wide range of soils and conditions. Also extremely cold hardy. This Ninebark has a more compact, rounded growth habit than most of its ninebark counterparts, which makes it a great choice for anything from informal hedging and smaller border plantings, to foundation plantings.Wonderful in group plantings adding color contrast. Also looks very nice as a single specimen planting too!
