Rabbitbrush
Crysothamnus
Rabbit brush is a native perennial/shrub with small bluish green slender leaves. This plant erupts in late summer with a passionate display of  bright yellow flowers that the butterflies love. When in flower rabbit brush will commonly have twenty butterflies on it at once. The best part about this plant though, is how drought tolerant and xeric it is. This plant does best to add color in dry areas. After this plant is established, it can pretty much be skipped in your watering routine. This great native plant loves the sun, endures the wind and cold and is very drought tolerant.
