Serviceberry
Amelanchier
A small deciduous tree or shrub with attractive white spring blossoms, that provides year-round interest in the landscape, as well as producing edible fruits. All types have small, oval or elliptical leaves, with finely toothed margins and downy undersides.   Most Amelanchier species have showy but short-lived flowers produced in terminal clusters that may be upright or drooping. Small red to purple fruits emerge in summer followed by fall colors of red, orange and yellow. The small fruits are said to have a similar taste to blueberries.

Saskatoon Serviceberry (Amelanchier alnifolia) - Multiple stemmed, large shrub with small, fragrant white flowers, followed by tasty berries. 15-20ft tall x 6-8ft wide.

Autumn Brilliance Serviceberry (Amelanchier 'Autumn Brilliance') -Bursting with white flowers in the spring time, this small tree will fit into any sized landscape. It is grown either in a single stem tree or a multiple stemmed large shrub.  Produces sweet purplish-black fruit which is promptly taken by the birds. As the name gives the clue- the fall color is dramatic and outstanding! 15-25ft tall x 15-20ft wide

Shadblow Serviceberry (Amelanchier canadensis) - Clusters of fragrant, white blooms become small, purple-black, edible fruit. Small, deep green leaves display yellow and red fall coloring. 20-25ft tall x 10-15ft wide
